Artica categories helper performance


The Artica categories helper ( Categories object used in ACLs) use caches to increase performance in order to not query the categories service on each request.
The proxy service load several Artica categories helper to increase response time
You can tune the performance by the helper in the Artica categories helper performance section.
(available with Artica v2.21.091912 or above )

  • On the TOP menu, click on “Statistics” icon.

Max Processes to run: How many helpers the proxy is allowed to run at the same time.
Processes to start: How many helpers the proxy service run when it start
Process to prepare: How many processes the proxy prepare before adding new processes
Processes in parallel: How many processes the proxy can query at the same time.
Positive cache TTL: When the helper says “TRUE”, how many seconds the proxy keep the results without query the helper
Negative cache TTL: When the helper says “FALSE”, how many seconds the proxy keep the results without query the helper
